Introduction

Another small improvement we’ve made recently is a new section to your dashboard called “event creator”. This is a very simple form that allows you to send custom events to your Javascript UI.

It’s all part of our ongoing quest to make realtime apps incredibly easy to build.

What we found through talking to users is that sometimes you want to work on the UI for your application independently of your backend work. In these scenarios, triggering Pusher events can be a bit of a pain.

While we do have the terminal command already, this is mainly designed as an intro into how the service works rather than a debugging tool.

In any case, you can find this new functionality in the your app’s dashboard. Hope it helps.

Have you built realtime apps with Pusher? If not, go on, create a free Pusher account and let us know what you think!
